Hi there.
My boyfriend and I are going to Albufeira and staying at Auramar Beach Resort in March.
I'm simply just looking for any advice/general information.

Fishing is not done on sunday so the fish is not as fresh that day

Are you going to be all inclusive at Auramar? If so, friends of mine who stayed there recently report that they had trouble getting served at the bar as priority was being given to 'cash' customers, that they only sold beer in small glasses and the all inclusive 'free' bar stops at 11pm. Other than those minor points it was fine they said.
The weather in March might not be too wonderful, so what are your plans/ideas for a rainy day? There's not much in town but a taxi will take you to the Algarve Shopping mall where is there a 9 screen cinema with most films in English and also a bowling alley - and lots of shops of course. It's about 5 miles from Auramar and a taxi will be about 9 Euros.
If it is a nice day and the tide's out you can walk along the beach from Auramar into the old town area of Albufeira in about 15 minutes. It's about twice that distance round by the road. There are a few small bars near there but some won't be open at that time of year. Some small shops also but the main supermarkets are about a mile away.

The coast west of Albufeira is very beautiful, with some natural formations, most of them only accessible from the sea. Eastbound the beauty fades, but until Olhos de Água,even dotted with too much construction, some point keep their beauty.
A walk by the seaside (sun protected) is relaxing, and helps to forget what we have inland.
