Internet Cafes - 1
by Geoff_Wright
There are several Internet Cafes in the Old Town and The Strip, and some in various Hotels. We used two of them to contact folks at home, and to check our VT pages, LOL.
The one closest to our apartments was Our@Net, just off The Strip, Rua Alexandre Herculand. They are generally open between 9 am and midnight.
Costs are Euro 1.25 for 15 minutes, and then 7 Cents per minute for the next 15 minutes.
This is purely an Internet Office, and no drinks, food, etc.
buses
by bugalugs
Before we hired a car we had tried getting a bus and waited for such a long time and when none came decided to walk. On speaking to some other people who were on holiday we were told buses were not very reliable, but taxi's were quite reasonable.
Taxi's cannot pick up anywhere along the road, you either have to order them or go to a designated taxi rank.
Always agree on a price with the taxi driver before your journey.
Albufeira

"Albufeira"
I have lived in Albufeira for three years. Before that , I was a frequent holiday visitor.
I do not drive, so rely on buses and trains (and my bicycle) to get around.
I have collected a large amount of information on the public transport systems here inAlbufeira and the Algarve and can share this with visitors.
