by Scottishlass0909

Hi,
Myself and a friend are planning to go to albuferia in mid september around the 14th - I was just wondering how busy it will be ? Will it still be good for going out drinking and clubbing ? And and and what will the weather be like ?
Any help would be fab !
Thanking you x

No-one can be definite about the weather so far in advance, but the climate tables here will give you an idea:

Check the weather forecast just before you come e.g.

Can't help with drinking and clubbing, sorry, though I suspect you will not find Albufeira entirely devoid of other holidaymakers! :-)

mid-september is good time and timing to be in Albufeira (and the entire Portugal for that matter) - much less crowd, prices have dropped and the weather continue to be warm especially the ocean if you fancy swimming. if you're staying longer expect the first flush of rain by october.

remember too that Albufeira is unquestionably the most developed and terribly built-up seaside resort of all Portugal, so no matter what season/time of year you visit, the town attracts a constant flow of traffic, terribly so during summertime which invariably means a steady grind of social scene which should fit your agenda.

Due to extreme climatic changes the World is experiencing at the moment, trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local, on the day variations.
Most places now are seeing weather conditions well outside the norm.
The information below should be used as a guide only.

Here is the average weather for Albufeira for this time of year.
Enjoy your holiday.

September.
High 80f / 26c
Low 63f / 17c
Rain 0.60in / 16.0mm
Rain days 5
Hours of sun 9
Daylight hours 12
UV level 7 = High
Humidity = Low
Sea temp 69f / 21c

Perfect time to go,
yes its build up and commercial blah blah but its fun! i have rarely seen somewhere so packed with great bars and clubs! 'the strip' in the new town is great for partying, beaches are great during the days and accom is cheap too,
enjoy your trip
P.s - check out the bar flare at Wild and Co. at the beach end of the strip

Travel Tips for Albufeira

Street Entertainment

by Geoff_Wright

Throughout the day and evening, you will find various street entertainers in the Garden. Here is a saxophonist, whose name escapes me, but I believe he is very well known. Do make sure that you visit the Old Town during the evening, as it is a completely different atmosphere to the daytime.

We were passing this restaurant and decided to stop for something to eat.
The restaurant is down some steps and looks smart. The staff were friendly and the prices slightly above average. I had Portugese steak wich was very tender and was in a bowl and the scollop potatoes around the edge.

"Albufeira... mixed feelings"

Right now Albufeira is for me a mixed feelings place. It has a great nightlife and nice beaches but on the other hand it is a bit massified and can get pretty dirty in August. I would really avoid Albufeira in August but in the rest of the year is a nice resort, sunny, with wide beaches nice views and cliffs. I do hope the city hall and hotel managers know how to overcome, dinamize, restaure and protect this city in the next years.
