I'll be in Faro for Easter holidays. I was wondering does enyone know a nice resturant (not too expensive)?
What is the distance between Faro and Lagos?
Which is a nice beach in Faro?

Lagos is about 90 km from Faro, on highway A22.
The best beaches at Faro will probably be in island of Faro. But I'm afraid that the weather here in Portugal hasn't been that great.

Correct about the beaches - Faro is 6km from the sea and the beaches are on an island. You will see this when your plane lands, as the island is next to the airport.
The weather forecast for Easter suggests that it will be dry, with high temperatures around 19C/67F. Not exactly beach weather!
The number 16 bus will take you from Faro city centre via the Airport to the Praia de Faro - Faro beach - in about 25 minutes.

You must go downtown and minge with the locals and other turists. Do some walking and shopping, and experience some of the local cuisine....It's truly amazing!!!! The best thing about Faro is that it is a small town, so you can relax and enjoy the Portuguese culture.
Armação de Pera History
Not very long ago this town was once nothing more than a collection of small shacks where the local residents from the nearby town of Pera used to maintain their fishing boats. It is quite probable that the name “Armação” is a link with the distant past of the great Tuna fishing industry that existed along the Algarve from the 15th Century and before. This later fell under the protection of a small 18th Century fort that still remains in part to this day.
Make sure to pick up a free map of Faro at the Tourist Office. The map includes a detailed street map, an overview of the area and of the Algrave region. Apart from that it shows the location of the sights and lists some other useful information.
The staff of the Tourist Office is very friendly and helpful.
The Tourist Office is situated in Rua da Misericordia just next to the Arco da Villa which is the Northern entrance to Faro's Old Town
Lagos. Enclosed within 15th century walls, with its Manueline window, are the magnificent churches of São Sebastião (Renaissance portals and 17th and 18th century tiles), Santa Maria or Misericórdia (16th-19th centuries), Santo António (Baroque) and the very old São João Chapel (8th-9th centuries). Other points of interest: Regional Museum, Governors’ Palace, Pau da Bandeira Fortress and the old slave market. Charming marina.
Also far left from the 'Praia dos Caneiros' you will find several nice spots for snorkeling...just get in the water and see the little fishes...sometimes a species from the shark family can be seen here, but they're totally harmless, not to worry.
