More about Vila Gaivota

Serenity

by Elizabeth20 about Vila Gaivota

The apartment was very spacious with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living area and an oversized balcony which had an excellant view of the surrounding landscape and the sea, however, whilst fine in mid September the lack of air conditioning may be a problem in the hottest months of the year. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was of good quality and variety.

This is an ideal holiday location if you just wish to unwind or get away from city life and stresses. The local bus takes you to the beautiful fishing village of Ferragudo or onto to Portimao alternately it is approx. 30 minute walk into the village.

At the hotel in the evening after dinner there is little to do other than listen to music or watch TV in the lounge but it is a great place to chill and get away from it all. The grounds were pleasant to walk through as there were beautiful gardens with an array of of various coloured flowers, a small pond containing goldfish and 2 swimming pools; the smaller suitable as a paddling pool for younger children
