This is a superb 3 bedroom villa situated in the quieter location about 4 kms outside Montechoro, not far from the N125 and even closer to Albufeira railway station. You can walk to the station in just 2 minutes, and a few bars, shops, cafes can be found there, as well as a taxi and bus service. The property is owned by the parents of Tony, who runs Bunnys Bar at the top end of the Strip at Montechoro. His good friend Miguel, who runs the Esquina Bar at the railway station is willing to help call taxis into the resort if necessary, so although you have the advantage of being away from the hustle and bustle, you have good access to the resort as well. Early booking recommended.
The villa is furnished to a very high standard, with 2 double bedrooms and a twin. Some additional beds, for young ones, can be added. There is a very nice swimming pool in the garden and even a purpose built fully equipped kitchen near the pool, in addition to the smart one inside the villa. In May 2003 we arranged a golf tour for 24 discerning golfers, including five rounds of golf at the top courses, and accommodation at an impressive aparthotel in Montechoro for just ?530 a head, all including flights, transfers, accommodation, transport each day to the courses, and of course, the golf. A great time was had by all involved. They also saved about ?150 a head on their previous quote. Quinta sa Gorge is the latest addition to algarvia's portfolio of villas, and a shining addition at that. It is a four bedroom villa set in a large plot about 12 kms from Silves and the beach at Armacao de Pera in a quiet location a short distance from the little town of Algoz. The villa is very well appointed and recently contsructed. There is a large vinyard from which the owner, George, produces his own fine, Rose, wine.
He also has a boat on a trailer and a three man jet ski which he can take you out on. The villa is very reasonably priced, in 2006, at only ?110 per night in the peak season. A hire car is recommended, though the owner and my associate, Serhiy Kravchuk, have stated their willingness to assist with driving you to and fro when possible. A truly special holiday possibility in prospect. Villa 86 is the first property algarvia rented out, and remains the favourite. Though an older style villa, it's location, situated close to the quieter, top end of The Strip, makes it very popular. It is also priced at the same rate as an apartment, so represents excellent value. The well kept garden and superb pool are also a special feature. The villa has 7 bedrooms and can sleep 14 easily. It is divided into three seperate apartments, a T1 (one bedroom), a T2 (two bedroom) and a T4 (four bedroom), all with their own entrances and facilities.
Most bedrooms are provided with twin beds, though there is one double bedroom in the T4. Artur Semedo, the owner, can arrange transfers from and to Faro airport for a small charge. He can only transport 4 persons so a different price will apply to larger parties.) Being so close to the Strip, where so many bars and restaurants are located, there is no real need to hire a car, unless you want to explore further afield. Algarvia can arrange discounted car hire for you, even if you decide when in the resort. LAGOS: If you like living comfortably while you travel, then I suggest you rent a Villa. My friends and I rented the 4 bedroom Villa Ana, with views of the countryside, ocean, and city. Bonus: Villas come with swimming pools in the backyards. USD $11 per night, if you share the Villa with 6 others.
