Santo António's church
by NunoF
This 18th-century church is dedicated to Santo António and on is interior we can see in the lower section of the walls blue and white tiles, the rest of the walls got great examples of Baroque carving.
Cherubs, beasts, flowers and scenes of hunting and fishing, surround eight panel paintings of miracles performed by St. Antony.
When we arrived at Lagos, the church was already closed, so we only could see the façade.
My favorite town in Algarve.

Lagos is a town that has most of the things i am looking for when i want a nice holiday.
It´s by the sea, it´s pretty, it has a lot of historical sites and there is an excellent bar scene.
It´s Located in the western part of Algarve and has fewer tourists than the towns further east and a large number of the tourists are backpackers that gives the place a youngish feel.
Lagos is also a very historical town, where Henri the navigator send out his ships to explore the coast of Africa and there are several monuments in Lagos reminding you of that era in portugese history.
