Lus/Lagos in Winter

by worldtravellers

We aren't party people but have been told that these 2 town are very quiet in the winter, when we want to go.

Any info would be helpful

it is very quiet there in the winter time opposed to the summer time when especially lagos has a roaring nightlife.
both places will have a few pubs open though, but it´s mabye 10% of what you see in the summer.

Travel Tips for Lagos

Excellence

by kevin36 about Retaurante Reis

We found this restaurant on our second week and what a find it was:
The service was excellent, the food was fresh and cooked to perfection. there was nothing I could fault this place and their staff for,the ambiance was very good and the staff seemed genuine in their approach to making your stay a good one.
The layout is simple but modern and comfortable and we never felt rushed by staff at anytime.
It really was a great restaurant to eat in with a warm friendly welcome. Sirloin Steak with mushroom sauce cooked to perfection.

Pedestrian streets

by Willettsworld

Lagos' old town centre has a network of small streets - some of which have been pedestrianised which makes walking around a lot easier, safer and nicer to go and explore. There's also some nice squares to go and sit in the shade at.

Sao Gonçalo's Gate

by Willettsworld

Located near Fortaleza da Ponta da Bandeira and the town's beach, this entrance is flanked by two barbican towers, in keeping with Islamic fortresses. This was the main access to the quay of the late medieval town in the 15th and 16th centuries. It's named after a saint (1368-1422) who has a small shrine in the passageway.
