Vilamoura/Quarteria Public Transport
We are staying at Praia Sol apartments close to the above.
Anyone any experience of public transport around these areas?
I maybe getting a hire car but we always like to use local transport if possible

It's a little bit difficult to know exactly what you would like to do in terms of public transports, but at EVA buses web site (one of the local bus companies)you can find this:
"The Tourist Pass is an easy, convenient and affordable way to travel. It is available to customers of all ages and nationalities.
For three days you can plan your journeys and visit the main tourist attractions in the Algarve.
The Tourist Pass is valid for an unlimited number of journeys on the interurban buses of EVA Transportes, S.A. and da Frota Azul - Algarve. 3-Day City Pass: 25,80€; Quarteira Address: Av. Sá Carneiro"

in which I have tried to pull together all the public transport information for the Algarve region in the absence of comprehensive information elsewhere. The EVA website does not list all the buses!
Praia Sol apartments are not marked on my Vilamoura map and I am not sure if the Praia Sol Hotel Quarteira is the same place. I don't know therefore how near or far you will be from the two interurban bus routes that serve Vilamoura and Quarteiranor the local'urban 'bus which runs around town every hour.
Be aware that the longest possible bus ride here will cost you only €5,35 and a tourist pass might not represent good value for 3 days travel.
