i'm not from around but I've search the usual places and nothing comes up with that name!
Are you sure that it's located in Sagres?

Dear Pedro L I am sure of this.
If you leave Sagres you will find the CIPOL fuel station on your righ hand and going straight you will reach a small area on the left where you can find a tourist shop a Pirates shop and Surf gears shop. Quinta do Poco is located in that area but on the right side. There is a sign on the main road in red color pointing the house 100 meters from the road.
I understand it is not easy........

the reason I asked was because I found a farm with that name but in the upper north of Portugal, on the opposite end of Sagres...

I'm afraid I won't be able to help with that one. perhaps you'll get better luck with someone from the area.

I'm thinking that it might be that this is the local name for it and they don't use it that broadly. but i'm just guessing.

If you could get some more info like street names or owner, I might get nearer. As I live in Porto I don't really know Sagres well enough to help you out.

NO, that is NOT the place. It is not a cottage but a normal house. It is in Sagres and no Golf around there.

But thanks anyway for the reply and hope somebody else could help.

Travel Tips for Sagres

Awesome views

by TinKan

The town is very small and I am not even sure that we had seen the town of Sagres but we did make it to the fort.

The fort is a very nice place to walk around and it has a very informative museum.

You'll be wanting a swimsuit...

If you're going to Sagres, DOUBLE CHECK that you've got your swimming trunks. I forgot mine and ended up hanging around the beach in my underwear for a week!

Beaches around Sagres

by dlytle

Baleeira is a small picturesque fishing port of Sagres, which houses up to one hundred fishing boats, some over 20 metres in length.

There are four good beaches in the neighborhood. Praia do Martinhal is the farthest from the village, but it is the biggest and the most protected if a westerly wind is blowing. It stretches from the Baleeira fishing harbor to an outcrop of low cliffs, the site of a Roman settlement that specialized in the production of amphorae.

Praia da Mareta just below the village and facing southeast is tucked in the lee of Sagres Point.

Over on the other side and facing west is Tonel, a small beach with steep access.

There is a long beach at Beliche, perhaps the best around Sagres.

The beaches up the west coast are fantastic, many of them comprising of acres of nearly deserted sand backed by dunes or cliffs looking out over lines of surf cascading in on the wildly beautiful shore.

It must be an excellent location to a big catch.

That's the only way to explain the hard work of those men, that, from the top of the cliffs inside the fort of Sagres, show their skills, fishing and sliding a basket down the line to catch the fish, almost invisible at that distance.

That's the reason why each fisherman has always a group of curious and interested observers. A few months ago, one of them felt down - take care!

Nossa Senhora da Graça

by solopes

This modest church located inside the fortress was built in the 16Th century, replacing the original built by Henry the navigator one century before. Inside, only a Baroque retable deserves reference.
