Correios (don't forget)
by ncfg
Do you want to send some postcards to your friends and family?
Well, in Portuguese the word Correios or CTT means post office.
You can find a beautiful building with the word Correios just on the Liberty Avenue (Avenida da Liberdade)
Serra da Falperra

In the fascinating Mount Falperra was erected a chapel dedicated to St Mary Magdalene.
Unfortunately when I was there the chapel was closed, but it seems that it is a unique work in the Baroque style. It was constructed on the eighteenth century.
You will find there an imposing hotel with covered swimming pools and other leisure facilities. It was there that the Spanish Football Selection stayed during the Euro 2004.
Bom Jesus - senses and virtues
by micas_pt
After you climb first half of the stairs there is a belvedere with beautiful view overlooking Braga as well as some benches where you can rest for a while and enjoy the view and feel the quietness of the place (if you visit on an autumn Monday like i did). Autumn colors are fabulous, ... still a lot of green but mixed with some shades of orange and red, ... beautiful!!
After recovering, it's time to go up again. Next stage is different - it shows lots of stone statues and fountains that represent the 5 Senses mixed with some mythological and bible figures. Then you will find the 3 Virtues place, also with statues and fountains. And finally you reach church. Again the view is wonderful and there are some wooden benches to sit.
Funky Braga

Braga. I have been around a lot of places and dunno why but I am always pleased to come back to this little northern Portuguese town. It's a city of contrasts. Standing in one side all the ecclesiastical heritage, all the churches that pile up almost on top of another, the candles burning and leaving a scent of devotion behind, the pious women parading their grief from one church to another, from on mass to the other.
But unnoticeably with also see a very young crowd. Inventive, nice, full of innovative ideas, sitting in coffee shops, reading books talking or just dating. It's a bittersweet city. You may like it a lot or not but certainly you won't forget it.
