Hotel to Avoid in Porto
Quality Inn, Praca Da Batalha, Porto Portugal.
There is no “quality” about this inn. We were told when we booked that there was Wifi Internet and parking. What we were not told was that the Wifi was 3 Euro per hour and the parking was half a kilometer away and 15 Euro per night! Then we were given a room that featured what sounded like a loud spa motor in the roof that fired up every sixty seconds for the whole night. When we finally complained at 1.00pm, there was very little sympathy. A meeting with the hotel manager at 9.00am the next morning proved to be fruitless and frustrating. He was incredibly rude, not only to us but to anyone in his vicinity. The in-room safe did not work; the shower recess had not been cleaned…where was the quality? Unfortunately we had paid in advance and the only thing we managed to achieve was a room change for the second night. Personally, I have never met such an arrogant manager in the service industry. Spend your 70 Euros elsewhere in this lovely city.
