Coimbra's youth hostel (near Praça da República) if staying a maximum of one week.
If you go to Coimbra on Erasmus program to study at the universitary try one República (República is one house run by universitary students. It's called República because they were given by the king D. Dinis to the students.) or an universitary residence.
