    This was probably one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in during our Portugal trip. It's a beautiful and elegant boutique hotel restored from a 18th century palace and is part of the Melia Group. We stayed in the new wing where the rooms are new and modern. Service is excellent and they have a great restaurant. We made this a base to travel around the region and I was glad I made the right decision to stay in this hotel. Parking is free and it's just right across from the hotel. Great place to spend part of your honeymoon!
