Vila Turistica Conde Fidalgo: Interesting and not far from beach

You will be able to see by the photos that the woman who runs this place has a passion for ceramic tiles, seems she has decorated every square foot. The apartments have a small kitchen, with cooking facilities and fridge, good for staying for several days. It is within a 10 minute walk of the beach and downtown area. The photos show various parts of the facility.
#1 - The entrance.
#2 - The extremely tiny table and porch.
#3 - The door to our room.
#4 - The entrance area.
#5 - The public sitting area below and more rooms above.

The woman, who apparently owns and runs it, lives on site and is very helpful, we were allowed to use her private washing machine and dryer to do some much needed washing. She did not even want to charge us anything, but we insisted since this was NOT included in the price of the room.

Vale Paraíso: Best Camping

Nazaré is not very well served by campgrounds: all of them stay a little distant, in the hills, forcing to hard walking or to use the car, with the expected parking problems.

Maybe the best will be this one, with the advantage of the pool to replace the ocean, when you decide to stay in the park.

Sao Pedro de Muel Orbitor Camping: Orbitor Camping

The campsite we had planned to stay at in Nazare was closed, so we went 20km north to small place called Sao Pedro de Muel.

Very friendly managers, well kept site, near the beach & as you can see from the photo amongst beautiful pine trees. This was my favourite site in Portugal. I would definately star there again. It only cost us £6.00 a night for the 3 of us, about 9 euros, bargin!

Orbitor is a campsite chain in Portugal, apart from the Algarve we stayed in Orbitors throughout our stay Portugal.

Residencial Ancora Mar: Relaxing

We stayed here for 2 nites. It has a swimming pool & sundeck on the roof on which you can relax and look over the town of Nazare or over the Ocean. The facilities are very nice with full washrooms & shower. Very new looking & comfortable rooms. There is a continental breakfast in the morning which is very good. Equiped with an elevator to all floors. Book well in advance to be sure. Try to stay here during the midweek so as to get a room. Spring or Fall are very good times. Try for the 3rd or 4th floors at the back to avoid the noise off the street. We will definetely be back here.

Nice pool and sundeck ith lounge chairs.
