Where does the rodotejo bus stops in Obidos?

by dream916

I would appreciate if someone could help me with the following questions:

(1) Is the rodotejo bus from Lisbon to Obidos is direct?

(2) Where will the bus stop in Obidos? Is it far from the city centre?

(3) And also, where is the bus stop for boarding bus back to Lisbon? Is it the same bus stop where we alight?

TIA:)

Bus stop in Obidos is right in front of the main entrance to walled in village and leaving Obidos back to Lisbon bus stop is to the wayside just outside the village exit.

At least this was how it went last time I was there couple of years ago.

Anyway, remind the driver once on the trip to let you off at the main Obidos stop closest to the village entrance.

Bus route stops at several towns en route but the entire trip takes a good two hours from Lisbon.

The Rodotejo Rapido Verde bus takes about an hour to get from Lisbon's Campo Grande bus station to Obidos, but of course you first have to get out to Campo Grande from wherever you are staying, so it might well the be the best part of two hours overall journey.

Hello,
I'd like to go as well with rodotejo bus from Lisbon to Obidos. So the rodotejo bus should be taken at Campo Grande subway station, is that right?
So how much does it cost the round-trip?
how long does it worth staying in Obidos? can you visit Obidos in 1h30?
Any advice?

many thanks,

Cats all over the place

by porteda

If you're a cat fan, like I am, you'll be thrilled to see many of these felines in Obidos' streets. They seem to be quiet tame and so used to seeing people that their sleep is note even bothered by it.

The sights

The sight on the city is simply beautiful. From the walls of the castle that involve the city is possible to have a wonderful perspective. Since the roofs orange to the houses in blue and yellow ton, the narrow streets and the Arab chimneys.

IGREJA DE SANTA MARIA

by LoriPori

The very heart of the town of Obidos is its Mother Church IGREJA DE SANTA MARIA or Church of St. Mary. 17th Century tiles and paintings by artist Josefa D'Obidos, adorn the walls of this wonderful Renaissance Church. It is also contains the tomb and final resting place of Joao De Noronha (1525) Count of Dijon and his spouse.

Church of St. Mary was the setting for the wedding of King Afonso V and his cousin, Princess Isabel, on August 15, 1441, when they were both still children of Age 10 and nine.

The walls

All the village are surrounded by these great walls, its interior is crossed by ancient streets and alleys and all the monuments, singular whitewashed houses and the amazing castle make us feel in the medieval time.
