Lots of laughter
I'm looking for an apartment within walking distance of the town centre in Cascais that sleeps four with access to a pool.
I'm looking at £1000 / Euros 1100 for 2weeks - is this possible?
Any help or recomendations welcome

Hi, We had 7 days during September 2008 at a resort overlooking the ocean, beautiful pool and only 10 minutes walk to the old town. We had a studio, however they would have 2 bedroom suites. Buffet breakfast was included.Web page link on my Hotels tip, might be worthwhile following up.

Just a few photos taken "around" Cascais as Tal and I were wandering the streets, looking for food, drink or the occassional VTer. I think the night view out over the harbor with Estoril in the distance was quiet the best view we saw.

There is one place where you can rent a bike or bicycles (quad/atv also available) in Cascais, near de courthouse. the name is xbike and you can see all details @ www.xnet.pt

Over the weekend Cascais had a Kids Fair on its beaches and the concourse...it had games and attractions for all ages. Tal got the attention of the CLOWN and I was "Martin on a stick" (or rather sticks).... sort of a "pop"stickle .
After an exhausting several hours, we stopped in for a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice.
Well, I suppose that when you don’t know a place you have to find a place that will provide you information about what you should not miss in that place. Well, yes I am talking about the Tourist Office. The tourist Office of Cascais it is located on the centre of the village, take a look at my photo and you can see a yellow house with the letters TURISMO, so is there.

The Stone Bridge at Santa Marta spans the beach with the same name.
The bridge itself is a kind of bottleneck to the coastal traffic. Cars only are allowed to take the bridege in the direction to town, but the many pedestrianns and cyclists cause some jams at times. From the bridge sone great scenic pictures can be taken, so photographers are anothere cause of hold ups.
