Pestana garden Hotel

If i am right it is the former Atlantic garden.

Unique Quality: A very nice room. I had a 2 person room for myself.
I paid for 11 days (arrived friday very late so that was 1 already :(
flight from amsterdam, 10 nights tranfer from and to airport and breakfast 615 euro
with a small kitchen, balcony 2 beds bathroom with bath and more.
To get to the trainstation you can go by a minibus from hotel but not often and it can be full also not in the evening.
you can take a buscas at the Telepizza stop ( walk out of the hotel go to the left and then on the end to the left again. you will see it on your right when you walk to the beach)
or i took a taxi did not pay more then 5 euro to centre/ trainstation

Lovely hotel, Staff friendly

This is a lovely hotel for a couple or a family with young children. My 14 year old son and I stayed there for the last two weeks in June 2007. We could not fault the hotel except that at night it was dead. The bar was nearly empty. Also it was a lonely walk to the nearest restaurant so we got a taxi every evening into Cascais town which was about 10 mins away by car. We obviously went at the wrong end of summer but having said that we made the most of our time in Cascais and made trips into Lisbon which is a beautiful city. It is worth a visit!

Unique Quality: The pool is lovely and they also have an indoor pool and a jacuzzi for the days when the weather is not great. They also have free internet but you may have to wait a while as there is only two computers. There is a gym but we didn't use it. There is a free bus into Cascais at certain times but it stops at early evening. Cleaning staff were lovely and deserved their tip at the end of the visit.

Estoril/Cascais

by Isabellasmart

Hi,
I'm planning my vacation in Estoril/Cascais and having problems deciding which hotel to choose.Could you please advise which one is better: Pestana Cascais or Villa Galle Estoril. I have to say that most hotels-except 5 stars- in this region have bad reviews.
Thank you

Have you decided already that only these two hotels will do for you? Otherwise, you should consider looking into other ones - nicer and even economical - and if I were you I'd stay in Cascais where it's far more interesting than Estoril in terms of a variety of places and restaurants to go. There is a nice medium budget hotel in Cascais - the Hotel Bahia - right on the fisherman's beach, each room with very nice ocean view you might like to look into....if you decide to stay in Cascais. Good luck and happy trails.

I would probably choose Vila Gale. The hotel is closer to the city centre of Cascais and therefore I think it is a better place to stay.

Take care and have a nice trip!
