Nice hotel with a great view.

Estoril Eden is a nice 4 star hotel 2 blocks from the beach that has good rooms.
I was there for a few days for work and was very happy with my room.
The bed was good and there was free wifi in my room as well as the place had a good little work table.
My room had a small but very nice balcony with a great view of the sea and the Rio Tejo.
Reception staff was really good and very helpful with all my requests.
The breakfast was fine and the breakfast room is nice and has a seaview too.
The restaurant serves lunch and dinner too and is fairly ok priced, especially when you think it is in Estoril where things can be a little pricy.
I had dinner there and that was fine without being gourmet, but the price was very fair.

Good option for really convenient price

I spent a weekend in June '05 at Estoril Eden. We had a nice time there. Estoril is 15-20 kms. far from Lisbon, so it's a option if you wish to enjoy both of beaches and cultural tourism in Lisbon. As regards to the hotel:
-ROOMS: Our room was of a very good size, with table and chairs and eve a pair of sofas. Satellite TV, welcome chocolates and a comfortable bathroom.
-LOCATION: The hotel is really near the beach and you have a five minutes walk to the Casino's area.
-BEACH: Estoril beach is not at all the best beach near Lisbon. If you are looking for a really good one, try Troia (near Setubal), Sesimbra or Caparica.
-PRICE: This hotel is not only worth for the money: it is really cheap. We got a double room with breakfast for 65 euros/night.
-BREAKFAST: not bad... but a bit disappointing. They didn't offer hardly any fruit and I didn't manage to get scrambled eggs: on Saturday, there weren't eggs left and on Sunday, scrambled eggs were said to arrive soon... but they didn't until half an hour later. The breakfast room is really superb, with beatiful sights of the sea.
-STAFF: helpful and language speaking. The man in reception spoke Spanish really well. I am sure they also speak English (all Portuguese seem to be able to speak English), and, most probably, a little French.
The hotel has also a medium-size swimming pool, although we didn't try it.
