Oranges and Lemons
Townhouse with 26 rooms. In area of similar houses (big families?!). Spruced up interior with wood corridors - nice but carry the sound. About 10 minutes from beach/station.
Since found (from their website) that the property was renovated and expanded in 2001. It was originally built in 1901 and was the summerhouse of wealthy Lisboa family.
Unique Quality: The above trees, a bbq range - pool and terrace and bar - more like a compact hotel.

Hotel Smart Estoril / Portugal --> Not so Smart !!
Before going there you have to know some information about SMART HOTEL (which is not so smart in fact):
- swimming pool is very small, so if you want to swim, do not choose this Hotel !
- Hotel closes door every day before 1 A.M O’clock. So if you do not want to sleep outside, do not go out !
- You are not allowed to eat and to wash your clothes inside the room.
- At 8 a.m. in the morning, housekeeper made a lot of noice with vacuum . So for sleeping, it is not the right place !!!
Moreover, if you are Gay, do not go there! I booked 4 nights by mail with my boyfriend. When we arrived at the desk, we must wait 15 minutes before he finished his lunch. Then he arrived without apologize and naturally discovered that we where gay. I did book a marital bad. But he decided by himself to give us two separated beds, after 30 minutes ... We ask explanation and he told us that it was not good to have gay people in his own hotel and described us as dirty people. Because we paid the first night, we had not choice to stay for one night. Finally we cancelled three followed night and decided to sleep in another Hotel which was Marie Luz Hotel. We explained her our problem and they where very Gay friendly.
Naturally, in the first Hotel, when we left he did not say to us Goodbye !!! I travel a lot in Europe and that is the first time that I has such problem.
Anyway, if you are heterosexual, it is to expensive (75 euros/night) for the quality …
