The Avenida Palace Hotel is a great old hotel located in the center of Lisbon. It's done in the style of old Europe. The rooms are big, and very comfortable, and there is a great bar in the lobby. Apparently it was a hangout for spies during the war, which adds to the mood of the place. We had a great time here.
The oldest hotel in Lisbon. Built in 1892 from a project of Luís Monteiro, it's located in a XIX century neoclassical building. It was totally renovated in 1998 and has a parisienne look. The hotel has 82 rooms and 17 suites well isolated of the traffic noise. Emperor Hirohito was one of the hotel guests. It's right in the city center near two important squares (Rossio and Restauradores), next to the subway, train station to Sintra, stores and Hard Rock Cafe...
The hotels is situation right at Restauradores Square in the centre of the cities cultural and business district. They have 82 air conditioning rooms with bathrooms and most rooms have a view. There is a restaurant and bar within the hotel and also a spa to relax in. Room rates include a buffet breakfast. It is listed as a 5 star but may not be quite up to some 5 star expectations.
