The Avenida Palace Hotel is a great old hotel located in the center of Lisbon. It's done in the style of old Europe. The rooms are big, and very comfortable, and there is a great bar in the lobby. Apparently it was a hangout for spies during the war, which adds to the mood of the place. We had a great time here.
The oldest hotel in Lisbon. Built in 1892 from a project of Luís Monteiro, it's located in a XIX century neoclassical building. It was totally renovated in 1998 and has a parisienne look. The hotel has 82 rooms and 17 suites well isolated of the traffic noise. Emperor Hirohito was one of the hotel guests.
