A pension in Praca da Figueira.

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on September 21, 2007

I spent three nights at this pension. All rooms have en suite bathroom and a satellite television (there weren't many channels unfortunately).

My room was not modern or nice, but clean. In my opinion the price was good.

The hotel reception is on the second floor.

Unique Quality: Pensao Beira Minho has an elevator. It is useful, because some rooms are on the 4th floor. Besides it is located in Praca da Figueira; the square adjacent Rossio.

Comfortable, clean, cheap

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)

I had no idea what I had reserved...but I was very pleasantly rewarded. We splurged and got rooms with baths. Really great coffee and rolls with jam are served in your room in the morning. You order it the evening prior. The rooms are small, but comfortable. It's not well-heated, but we were there in December and it was comfortable. The baths are well-maintained, and you don't carry your keys. They are left at the door when you go out. There is a staff member always present to give you your key on the way out.

Unique Quality: We spend less than $20 per night per room. Hot coffee and warm roll with jam were included. The shower was hot, the room was clean, the window had a view. I was happy!

Directions: You enter through a shop. It's in the middle of the block, and we even found parking every day! There was construction going on in the other Praca, so it was quite busy in ours.
