I would appreciate any information on a very lovely excellant apartment in Lisbon for 6 people, for a week. Would like, if possible in a colorful quarter, and if is has a special view -even better. thanks a lot

this one looks fabulous to me and it says it's close to the castle which means you will be close to the alfama, which means you get to go into a bar and experience fado :)

when you're looking at this site, note the max # of people allowed.
it's really a great location. but i just did a quick search. you may be able to find something better. i'm not sure if the cost is 60Euro per person or per night. probably per person.

I have been 4 days in apartment Secret Bairro Alto (www.easyrent4u.com) with my girlfriend and 4 friends. This apartment has a perfect location... near Bairro Alto but in a very calm street... and the viewpoint Principe Real is just breathtaking! I loved it!
Travel Tips for Lisbon
Viewpoints - Miradouros

Due to Lisbon's excellent location on 7 hills, it offers many magnificent viewpoints called "Miradouros". The most popular one is the Miradouro do Castelo at the castle, from where almost the entire city can be seen.
To admire superb views of the castle itself and parts of the city you should visit the Miradouro da Graca at the Largo da Graca (tram #12 or #28).
The Miradouro da Santa Luzia overlooks the Alfama district and the mouth of the river Tejo. It is situated on a terrace near the Church of Santa Luzia (tram #12 or #28).
Other popular viewpoints are the Elevador de Santa Justa and the Cristo Rei Statue. Please read my "Things to do" and my "Off the beaten path" tips for more information about these two viewpoints.
Praça do Comercio

Praça do Comercio is a square right in the center of the city and facing the Tagus River. It is quite beautiful. Its beautiful triumphal arch represents 'glory, valor, and genious.' It also includes sculptures of Portuguese heroes such as Vasco da Gama.

You will find numerous public booths, where you have the choice of using coins, phone cards and sometimes credit cards.
Telephone calls made from bars, restaurants and hotels are usually a great deal more expensive than the street pay booths.

There is no way you will feel lost in Lisbon. People there are soooo nice. They will always try to help you, although they usually don't speak a word of English. But if you know Spanish, you can give it a try.
