This luxury hotel is located on a quiet little street near the Saint George Castle. Just like the hotel I recommend in Beijing, it can ONLY be enjoyed once you understand how it connects to the neighborhood. Otherwise, forgeddit. This hotel is about 4 eventful minutes from a #28 tram stop, but you really can get lost and frustrated. The hotel is very elegant and comfortable. My room was huge, and the breakfast included various good pastries besides the usual. Just be aware that there will be much climbing up and down steps and steep alleys to reach the hotel, and that the location is not quite central. You won't be able to come back for a nap between museums. But the more central hotels, near the Rossio and Commercio squares, can't match the view and the atmosphere.
