Friendly hotel close to the historical center

Now that they finally seem to have fixed the issues with their fidelity program, I really start to enjoy the Accor hotels. I recently had several happy experiences in Novotel but it was one of my first times in a Ibis.
This is the same concept but in a lower category. In many classy hotels, the staff has to be polite, attentive and helpful and even if they don’t like it, this is their job! In this case, the staff really seems friendly and they would do everything they could to help you.
As for the Novotel, the hotel and the rooms are furnished with a modern touch and everything look relatively new!
The room itself was not too big but it was more than enough. Even if a tad hard to my taste, the bed was still comfortable enough. In the bathroom, no bath tub, just a shower, this is how it should be according to me!
Wireless Internet was available for free but since it was not working for me, I fall back to another provider in range (with iPass).

There was a small bar and limited possibilities to order food 24/24h. It would have been my last option though, that was not too engaging.

A breakfast buffet was also available for only 6E !! At that price, I was not expecting much but, again, I have been pleasantly surprised!
Obviously, instead of having a bunch of waiter patrolling around, everything is pretty much self-service!
Don’t expect neither a full English breakfast, after all, we are in Portugal! Limited choice and nothing fancy but everything you need to start the day was there
Great bonus, it was even possible to make your own fresh orange juice!

Even if the hotel is located pretty close to the top of a hill, the view from my room wasn’t really amazing. The area isn’t really touristic but it is walking distance from a metro station and the city centre.

In summary, I have been staying in a lot of fancy hotel on business trip but this would be a perfect hotel for a personal trip : affordable, friendly and nothing fancy.
