We were lucky, that due to renovations we were upgraded and got a "suite" which was even nicer, since we had a nice little living room area in addition to our bedroom.!
One thing, that one has to keep in mind, is that this is a very old building, so everything is kind of used up. This does not mean that it is dirty, but I always describe it as a "morbid charme" to the place - and that is, what you will find here......
The location is the top characteristic of this place! You find yourself in the middle of the Alfama, right next to the cathedral with a tram stop two minutes walk away.
From Praca do Comercio it is a 10 minute walk at the most and to Praca Figueira/Rossio maybe 15 minutes.
The pension is very clean, we got fresh towels every day and even fresh linnens after two nights!!!
Breakfast is served in a restaurant just around the corner and consists of two VERY fresh bread rolls, a little cheese, butter, jam and coffee, tea or chocolate.
