Tivoli Jardim Hotel Lisbon

Stayed at the Tivoli Jardim for the first 3 days in Lisbon. Selected it for its accessible location (close to the Avenida Metro stop) and it was a bit cheaper than its adjacent sister hotel, the Tivoli Lisboa.

It was a block from Avenida Liberdade, which was good, because I think it made it a bit quieter than if we were right on the Avenida.

Its central location was perfect for our first few days, to help orient us to the city. We took the hop on/off bus our first full day there which gave us a good orientation to the city; after that, just used the Metro to get around.

Helpful, friendly staff.

Unique Quality: Paid about $140 EUR in early October for a twin room that had a private balcony (came in handy for drying laundry, but we were discreet about it.) Fairly comfortable beds, decent size, good breakfast which was included in the nightly rate.

A nice plus was the free use of the Internet in the business center room. There was only one terminal, but never had to wait to use it (try early morning, before breakfast.)

Thought overall it was a good value for what we paid. It is business/tourist class, not a cheap, budget hotel. So, we felt we got the level of amenities that we were paying for.

Directions: One block from Avenida Liberdade and the Metro stop. When you see the Tivoli Lisboa, turn up the street and behind the Tivoli Lisboa is the Tivoli Jardim.

Stayed in this very fine hotel for three days. Room was clean and well maintained. All staff members were very friendly and cooperative. The hotel's location is excellent for walking to many restaurants and points of interest, and very near to the metro. Highly recommended.

Opened in 1968, the charming 119-room Tivoli Jardim, enjoys a privileged location, practically on Lisbon's Avenida da Liberdade and next to the larger Tivoli Lisboa.
The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel restaurant serves buffet breakfast in the morning and an extensive a la carte menu of traditional Portuguese cuisine for lunch and dinner.

Unique Quality: The Tivoli Jardim shares a great deal of the first class sports and leisure facilities and services available at the Tivoli Lisboa, just next door.
