Travel Park Hotel Lisbon

We stayed in Travel Park from 12-15 March 2005, using a double. We arrived early in the morning and left our baggages at the hotel. Because of a mistake when we came back all of the doubles had been given to others. As an apology they gave us the suite. What a fabullus room it was. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the hotel. Indicated as a 3 star hotel, I think it deserves 4 stars. Personel is helpful. The hotel is conveniently located, 100m from a Metro entry (station Anjos). Parking was half the normal price. Highly recommended.

Unique Quality: The hotel is quite new, very clean rooms, good bathroom. Air conditioning is efficient and quiet and was very much needed at that time of the year. Also Internet for 5 euro. Breakfast buffet is very good with plenty of choice. Value for money, absolutely. The hotel has a design bar and even a buffet restaurant.

EURO 2004

by Mikeymike15

We went to EURO 2004 in Lisbon for 4 days in June. We went to 2 football (soccer) stadiums in Lisbon, Alvalarde and Luz. We had a great time hanging out down town and partying in the streets. We stayed at the Hotel Travel Park which I would highly recommend (although its a little pricey)

Check the website:

http://www.booking.com/

Search for Lisbon.

They have the maps with locations of the hotels. You will be able to see those near the Statium of Benfica.
Hotels in 'Marquês de Pombal' have a metro conection in the Blue Line, where you must exit at 'Colégio Militar / Luz'.

Thank you for your reply. I booked the Travel Park Hotel which may not be too close to the stadium , but it looks fairly central ? Kind Regards

Acording to your Hotel location, you will be very near 'Intendente' metro station.

More info here:
http://www.metrolisboa.pt/portals/0/pdfs/mapasEstacoes/linhaVerde/in_aid.pdf

This is the green line, which means you have to take the subway to 'Baixa Chiado', and then change to the Blue Line, then exit at 'Colégio Militar / Luz'.

By the way, avoid walking in the Martim Moniz area (south to your hotel location). Very, very disturbing place.

Oh god.. not Indentente. That is known as the hooker/druggie area of Lisbon. Safe but you will see people urinating in public, dog *** everywhere. I would NOT stay there.
