after some hours surfing web! which is better please. Costa Da Caparica hotel in Delgado or Vila Gale Estoril by the casino. we will probably take cabs. my husband cant walk much. dont need toursit shops. like antiques.any help?
I would say Vila Gale Estoril. In Costa you just have beach (and the ones in the village have lost plenty of sand) in a resort that has a more modern look.
Estoril is a nice neighborhood with nice houses and hotels, a park, the casino, good restaurants and a beach. From there you can easily access the nice town of Cascais with plenty of nice stores for you to shop in and the distance towards Lisbon is basically the same as the one from Costa. You're also closer to Sintra a lovely town, world heritage by Unesco, but not that walking friendly.
Estoril is called the portuguese Riviera. In the II WW period it was a refuge place for many jews but also to many royal families in Europe (Spain, Romania, Italy ...) and a transition place in the way to the US. It was also an important centre of espionage for both sides.
Take care and have a nice trip!
thnaks for your time.
Yes, Vila Galé Estoril for sure! It's a nice hotel and a very nice village. Enjoy your stay!
