Great 3 star in Fatima
This is probably one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in this price range in Europe. The hotel is across from the shrine/basilica and it is extremely reasonably priced. The rooms were all refurbished at sometime recently and they were modern and large. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the elevator and design of the place seemed wheelchair friendly. They also have a garage, so road-trippers can park safely and easily.
The front desk staffs were so kind and helpful. The heater didn't work (or we couldn't get it to) and we'd been freezing in every other hotel so far, but the man from the front desk came up immediately, fixed it and also turned it on for us when we went out for dinner, so the room would be heated when we returned. Also, although breakfast isn't served until 8am, we had to leave early, so they allowed us to have breakfast from 7:30am. This was genuine service. The breakfast was also quite good; there was a large selection and a fruit basket - a nice touch.
If you are going to Fatima I cannot recommend Hotel Cruz Alta enough. Fantastic service and a clean and well-priced hotel.
