Setubal is a fishing town, and if one prefers an excellent fish dining experience without the frills -- just as the locals want their fish -- fresh and grilled or cooked in a variety of ways, this is the place to be. But a walk along the docks where the fishing boats are completes the experience -- it just shows how very dependent on the sea, and the bounties of the sea this place is.
I have just returned from a nice, relaxing break in Portugal. One of the places I was lucky enough to visit was the town of Setubal situated about an hours drive south of Lisbon across the Tagus River.
