Golf in Troia, Portugal

by smashy2010

Troia near Setubal was the host of the 2009 ISAF World Sailing Troia Portugal Match Cup.

Golf: The Troia Golf course is considered amongst Golf players to be one of the best top golf courses of the world and was considered by “Golf World” magazine to be one of the best 100 Golf courses of Europe. Robert Trent Jones Senior designed the course and it opened for play in 1980.

The 368-metre par four 3rd is one of the finest sea holes in Portugal but there are more stunning holes in this course. The holes are laid out on the dunes whilst magnificent pinewoods line most of the fairways on the inland side. The course is challenging but whilst playing the player has charming views across the sand to the magnificent blue Atlantic. There are also Golf lessons available.

To know more please visit: http://portugaldreamcoast.blogspot.com/ There is a Golf club where you can rent your Golf equipment.

MigMReis's new Setubal Page

by MigMReis

Setubal is not that far from Lisbon.
Here I don't show you the usual tourist stuff (though Setubal have a lot of it) but some unusual images.
Those were taken on Setual estuarine. This is one of the spots I’m studying and so I remember to give you this kind of view.
What you see is nature in its wildness. You shouldn’t walk alone here because this mud can be tricky and you may be found stuck. As there aren’t people passing by to help, you could find a not pleasant death in the bottom of the river (like if there was any kind of pleasant death…).
Besides the danger this is a wonderful sight. Here you can find lots of animals and an untouched environment.
Have fun with the photos.
