I need to travel from Viana do Castelo to Lisbon on the morning of Friday September 7th to ideally arrive by 10am. There is a coach but the earliest is at 8 am and it takes 5 hours so doesn't arrive until 13.00.
Is there a train that I can get from Viana - I see that there are trains from Porto that arrive before 10am and only take 2 and a half hours- can I get from Viana to Porto early in the morning?
Thanks for any help you can give.
I've found a train which arrives in Lisbon at 10.30 AM, is it ok?
If yes:
Departure: Viana @ 5:34, arrival in Nine 1h later.
At 6.50 you take the train at Nine to Porto - Campanha (arrival at 7.40)
Then, at 7.45 (you must hurry and pray that the train won't be late) you take the train to Lisbon, which arrives at 10.30 in Lisoa - Oriente (Parque das Nacoes).

The beaches on this area hold a great attraction for the urban and rural populations, who have easy access to the coast. The busiest time of the year is the summer, when people come in search of rest, sun and sea as well as for recreational activities such as sailing, water-sking, bobyboarding, windsurfing and surfing.

we spent about an hour on the beach here relaxing after a day around the streets of Viana and the market, the fortress and then the church up on the hill - so we enjoyed just lounging around on the sand and up at the beachside cafe with excellent coffee and sunset above the waves!!
Then as my guidebook recommended we drove back onto the main road and a few seconds to the other side to try an apartment complex for pricing and availability which was very appealing to us - 2 bedroom apartment for 3 of us with breakfast for 50 euro! so we stayed there! Certainly more comfortable than our atmospheric night on the boat!
From the beginning of 16th century, this building has some gotic details. On the ground floor, under the arcade,used to be sold the bread. A staircase took to the upper floor where the town council meet.
Gerês is a place in Northern Portugal, known by it's natural beauty.It is a natural park (Parque Nacional Peneda/Gerês),with wild horses and deers,and in some places of this park,cars aren't alowd to stop.To enjoy nature and protect it, people have to walk 6 Km inside the forest,where you hear nothing but birds and other wild animals.
