Classical and central
No. I didn't stay there. As a matter of fact I never slept in Viseu, less than two hours distant from my bed, but this hotel caught my attention.
I don't know the quality of services nor the prices, but I may recommend its location and external look.

Clean and cosy place right in the center of town
Hotel Avenida is perfectly located in the center of Viseu near the Praca de Republica and just as few minutes walk from the beautiful historic old town. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the room was large, nicely decorated and very clean. Copious breakfast buffet. Reasonable prices: our double room including breakfast ad parking was 50 EUR/night. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Viseu!
Unique Quality: The hotel offers free wireless Internet access in the room and also has a PC with free Internet access available for those guests who don't bring their own notebook.
