I will be in Portugal in two weeks and want to visit a restaurant (Curral de Mulas) in Silgueiros, just outside Viseu. Since there is no train station in Viseu, what is the best way to get there by public transportation from Aveiro, Coimbra, or Lisbon?
You have buses from 7 am to 22:30 almost every hours... from Lisbon it will take 4 hours.
From Coimbra - from 7 am to 21:30 also every hours. It will take 1 and half hours
From Aveiro some buses from 8:50 to 20:30 it will take 1 and half hours with a change of bus. Don't go for that one...

Because i have never been to Silgueiros i took a look on internet...

O Martelo, who owns the Curral de Mulas, also makes his own wine, with the label Curral de Burra. It is a Dão wine of course. I have 10 bottles of his 2001 reserva aging in my cellar right now. I'll post a picture of my wife and I toasting our 42nd wedding anniversary with a bottle of this wine.
I'm tryingto spotlight the best wines, beer and food in each region so in the Beiras we had Dao wines. The best of these were found in Viseu and we had a cheap Dao Grao Vasco Tinto. I think it cost 2 euro a bottle.
Dao wines are now considered to be some of Portugal's best. We didn't try the whites so much as we enjoyed the reds. The reds are of a nice fruity composition (but not sweet, I HATE that) and aren't as musky as older wines. A good all over wine.
