The hotel however is a bit far about 10 mins brisk walk to the tram - but very safe area, taxis also OK priced...but you get a few cheat drivers.
It is very uphill from the Vila Nova Gaia train station we arrived one late evening. But otherwise, we enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is fairly new - about 2 years old, and room is really huge, and awesome view of the Porto city. esplly at night.
The front desk folks are also very very friendly. And the hotel is connected to a new mall - small one, but has many small cafes to a have quick coffee and pastry fix.
