This is a fantastic and central hotel, got for a bargain 35 euros a night through www.hrs.de. I ended up with a huge twin room that was cool and comfortable despite the oppressive July heat outside. It was quiet and kitted out with solid wooden furniture and a well stocked mini-bar. The hotel staff were very polite and professional, the hotel itself was very stylish, with a grand central staircase spiralling up the hotel's five stories. The only downside to the place was that the view from the room was nothing special, just the back side of the buildings on the Prace da Liberdade.
Directions: The Pao de Acucar is easier to find than to remember the name to. Standing with your back to the town hall, take your first right, and then first left down Rua do Almada. It's just there on your left.
