Sunny, lazy, secluded
Oasis Village is a collection of self-contained apartments with access to Hotel Parque Mourabel and Hotel Lago Azul facilities. The buildings are three storey high, white-washed, and set in superbly kept grounds with palm trees and brightly coloured flowers amid the greenery. Our meals and "entertainment" were in the Parque Mourabel. The dinner selection was nice but limited and we didn't know until the fourth night that there was an optional menu available to us! Superb steak in cream and mushroom sauce.
Entertainment was VERY dubious! Karaoke/solo singers/guitarists, but the booze was nice (Sagres and a good selection of British drinks) and cheap. There were three pools available to us, but the best was in Lago Azul.
The apartment was a one-bedroomed affair with a fully fitted kitchen although a microwave would have been useful. There were two settees a dining table, TV and most importantly a balcony that caught the sun from 11:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
