Very clean, small, safe, nice common area. A great place to meet people and socialize. It is excellent for backpackers.

Solid, moderate priced hotel. Comfortable, clean, and good food at the hotel bar and restaurant. Very Professional. It is listed as a 5 star restaurant but it really isn't. Nonetheless, it is a very good hotel to base your sight seeing in Lisbon.

I stayed at Hotel Marazul for 7 nights in June 2006. The rooms were adequate and very clean. The staff was accomodating, friendly and attentive. AND the location is just ideal. Located on 25th of April, in the center of town. I highly recommend this place. I'll surely be back.

The accommodation we stayed at was allocated to us when we arrived. Alvor is one of the smallest resorts on the Algarve but the most beautifull of them. The appartments were on the outskirts with a 20 minute walk to the beach and the resort centre. Theme: Other

It was very hot in the middle of august in Evora, but the hotel had air conditioning in the room, and all the faicilities of a 2 star hotel. Nice and cozy in the center of Evora, free parking place which was a plusl, due to the fact that the hotel lies inside Evora's old town walls. .Stayed in this timeshare apartment last week.Accomodation was simple but very comfortable and clean and the view from the balcony was absolutely breathtaking.
Very impressed overall,just two annoying occurences.
Be prepared to put a deposit of 100 euros down for breakages.This left us a little embarrassed as we were not told beforehand.
We were pestered on the phone on 4 out of our 7 days to buy a timeshare.
This was close to all amenities,you could have breakfast,dinner or tea. overlooking the sea in the nearby restaurants.
There was entertainment at night but the strip is just a short walk away so we didn't use it.

If you want a cheap break for a week and use it as a base to travel around its fine, what puts you off is the red tiled floor see photos which looks dated.
Everything is provided ie, microwave, 2 rings fridge clean towels and sheets
cost in February was only £84 for the week and it sleeps 4 to 6
Taxi ride away to the main part of Vilamoura was 4 euros or its a 35 minute walk.
Cost in June is around £160 per apartment.
Only use the Hotel Lounge if you are a smoker, else your cloths will be smelling abit and you will have sore eyes under the clouds og smoke.

The Pousada de Juventude is a chain of 41 hostels, state-owned. I have been in the pousada of Faro, Lisbon (2 nights), Leiria, Porto, Guimaraes and the review for each one is in the city page.
Everybody can go there (not as the name suggests) so use this cheap opportunity!!

Hotel Palácio Estoril is a 5* hotel, member of the Great Hotels of the World.
It is placed in Estoril, not far from Lisbon, with easy access from the train station.
I spent just a night there and I loved it all, the service, the beauty of the building ... it is a palace.
Maybe a place like this is not for everyone, but if you get the chance, i am sure you will and will not regret.
