Central budget choice, Funchal
Location: Excellent, absolutely in the middle of Funchal, close to everything but swimmingpools. There is however a kind of outdoor sea/sun bathing area (entrance fee in summer) in the east of Funchal in walking distance.
Can be noise from surroundings, traffic and street music, especially if you have a room facing the front side.
Standard: Medium/Low: simple but very clean hotel. TV in rooms. Normal bathrooms.
Breakfast standard: Low: Coffee/tea, bread roll, butter, jam, some kind of juice.
The staff do not all speak English but are always kind and eager to help if they understand what you're asking for.
Terrace at the upper floor could have been very nice if not for all the doves that are trying to live there. (they are at windows too so you can't open them much.)
Summary: Good budget choice if you want a base for other activities.
I do not know the current prices but saw somewhere that you can get a double room here for from 40 Euros.
Believe that car parking can be a tricky question, or has to be done at a distance from hotel.
Unique Quality: Excellent location in central Funchal, for budget traveller.
