It tells the story of Madeira from the volcanic eruption that created the Island to the luxury apartments that are being built all over Madeira today.
The exhibition fairly quickly jumps to the 15th century when the island was discovered and trade-routes developed between Europe, Africa and South-America.
The route on just one floor takes you on a journey through time, with some interactive bits, film, photos and lots of stories from people in their days.
Great for kids and adults alike!
The Madeira Story Centre also has an impressive giftshop with good books and guides on the island.
