The Hotel is situated in the very center of the city Podgorica. It is at 12 km distance from airport and 2 km from the bus and railroad stations.

under-rated hotel in nowhere town
Most on-line and print guides I've read dismiss Hotel Crna Gora and its post-socialist, utilitarian look, but considering how over-priced most Pod hotels are, Crna Gora is very good value at 45 Euros (2010). Internet is available in the lobby; the gym is actually a lot better than most hotel gyms, and, while breakfast is nothing special, the restaurant is one of the better local eateries at night, at moderate prices. The location is ideal--it's a drop-off point for Montenegro Airlines' shuttle (don't believe the Info staff at the airport; it does exist), and it's two blocks from the main downtown pedestrian zone. You can get a city map from the shop in the lobby, too. The rooms are clean and everything works, though they're certainly not fancy and the "non-smoking" rooms might need a bit of an airing!
Podgorica itself is nothing to write home about (literally), but most people making their way to the MN coast or on to Albania will have to stop there. Having been all over the Balkans, my opinion is you could do a lot worse than staying at Hotel Crna Gora.
Unique Quality: Better than average gym on mezz level.

Overall nice experience!
I have been recently staying at Hotel Crna Gora (name wich means "Montenegro" in the local lenguage, and it's pronunced something like; "Tzerna Gora") for three nights as I was in town for business.
I have chosen the "Superior" room, on the third floor.
I must say that I kind of knew what to expect, thanks to the reviews I've found on here...so I've thought I'd add mine as well for equity.
The place is not fancy and not new, but it is not bad at all and offers an interesting experience due to the atmosphere that reigns in it. Being in there is just like taking a step back in time by 20 or 30 years, the structure is aged but kept decently, it is clean, the whole staff is pretty likeable.
Its interior kind of reminded me of the hotel from the movie "The Shining", which I loved for some reason.
Everything is aged but everything works just fine, the breakfast is alright.
Unique Quality: The atmosphere!
Very characteristic, very peculiar experience...Hotel Crna Gora is quite far from the anonymity of the typical hotels that all look alike no matter where in the world they are placed.
I am satisfied with everything the hotel has to offer and I would definitely stay there again on a next visit in town.
It isn't something I would write a postcard back home about but I will definitely not forget my stay there easily and keep a good memory of it.

One of the smallest and most beautiful countries inn the world. Such a breathtaking natural and cultural diversity and exuberance in such a small area.
Stunning nature, delicious food, old towns... a definite must see.
"Numerous Bays and "White Mountains""
Montenegro's coast is scattered with fishing towns. They are tiny and very interesting to stop by. The Northern part of the coast and Bays are much poorer and more industrial than the southern parts.
Another small town on one of the bays near Kotor
Montenegro is a small country with many spots to see and to experience. It is one of those countries where mountains meet sea, shaping either lonely small creeks hidden by green trees or impressive and calm bay, as Boka-Kotor. Country where you’ll see the second on depth in the world and the deepest in Europe Canoyn of the river Tara. Country with so many charming churches and famous monasteries; blue lakes and dense forests, overcrowded resorts and quite villages, old towns and live beaches; small cozy restaurants (konobas) and crazy night clubs... A place where you feel safe at any time of day or night (at least I felt it).
Montenegro is a country which is worth to visit at least once... and it will make you to come back again and again and again.

Re: Crna Gora Jul 07 Accomodation
I may know of 2 rooms available (we had to book for 2 extra nights to get the hotel we wanted). See my separate post under "room available" in July. I don't know if the hotel has booked them, but it can't hurt to contact them. If you want any other info, I'd be happy to try and answer questions. We stayed at this place last year, also in Kotor. Montenegro is very small, so unless you are in the high mountains or in Ulcinj, distances aren't too far.
