If you want to stay in the middle of the action in the Skardaŝka then this is where you want to be. Rooms are comfortable enough and the air conditioning is a godsend on a summer’s day in Beograd. The hotel rooms are named with a Parisian flair. There is no elevator so be forewarned if you are on the third/European second floor. Hotel staff is helpful and friendly. Need to check your email? Just ask for their laptop. There is an attached restaurant that morphs out into the Skardaŝka with the evening. Benches set across from the restaurant attesting to the musical ability of the Gypsy performers – locals sit on the benches and enjoy the Skardaŝka show for free.
A not so large hotel in the right place: on the pedestrian Skadarska, with all those fine restaurants, harmonica players and actors reciting poetry around. This is one of the very few (if not the only) new addition of the hotel market in the heart of the old quarter in Belgrade. And a great addition that is... Rooms are well appointed, breakfast is great and the service is fine - unless one asks "weird" questions, such as "where may I park my bicycle overnight?". On the downside, there is no parking lot right next to the hotel if you come by your own car. But these minor faults are not worth taking into consideration, as there is no real competition for this hotel other than the decaying Tito era (or older) hotels in the old quarter.
Directions: It is located on the Skadarska, the pedestrian street that gathers many fine restaurants. It is within walking distance from Knez Mihailova, the Kalemegdan or Trg Republike.
