Living in Belgrade
by Beograd
My experiance tells me that who ever visited Belgrade, had to return at some point. I know it sounds pretentious but it's true. Where ever you go in this town you will find nice people who are more than willing to help you. If you go out it is guaranteed that you will meet a whole bunch of people. The thing is, even if you want to, you can't be alone in this 2,5 mil people city. Well, you can but it's not an easy task. People will never let you feel down! Since I will be leaving this beautiful city to live somewhere else with my husband, I am allowed to tell about my fondest memories...
I don't have just one! Everything nice and everything bad happened to me here... This is where I first fell inlove, got hurt... This is where I learned to walk, to ride a bike... This is where my oldest friends are... Where I spent wonderful moments with my parents and late Granny... And finaly, this is where I met my husband and got married...

St.Marco's church
by Aurorae
This church is in the center, and after Saborna it is the most famous church in Belgrade.
it is in the middle of the big and beautiful park - Tašmajdan, and it's a very popular place to be married and baptized at. At the moment it is under reconstruction, soon it will be well refurbished.
St. Mark's Church
by johnsakura
St. Mark's Church at Tašmajdan was built in the 1931-1940 period at the place where the old church from 1835 used to be. It was designed by architects Petar and Branko Krstiæ, in Serbian-Byzantine style. By general architectural conception, forms and polychromy of facades, this temple is most like the Graèanica monastery. The equipping and decoration of the temple is still unfinished. At the south part is a sarcophagus with the remains of Czar Dušan, brought here from his endowment, the monastery of St. Michael the Archangel near Prizren. On the north side is the white marble crypt containing the remains of Patriarch German Ðoriæ. One of the most valuable collections of Serbian XVIII and XIX-century icons is kept in this church. View from Beogradska tower.
Zemun Quay 1
by Aurorae
The quay by the river Danube in Zemun is very beautiful, especially on sunny warm days, but any season is fine. It's one of my favourite parts of the town.
Sometimes along the walkside there will be monuments to important persons from our history, flowers arrangements and other quirky stuff.
