hostel fun
This is basically an apartment off republic square with two rooms, a bit disorderly but the staff were really cool and made us watch serbian war videos! Its very very laid back, there are security lockers and the guests just kinda join the family. There is free internet and they will do your laundry for a euro.
Not for those of you who like your privacy or comforts......it is a little cramped but we were poor and the atmosphere is good. Some people had been there for 50 days and were only leaving as their visas were running out!!!

The Three Black Catz of Beograd!
I had made a reservation early on and after meeting people on the train, who were disappointed that they couldn't book here, I'm glad I booked early. The staff is wonderful, mellow and knowledgable, they provide all things necessary for a good time. The location is nestled in between the National Art Museum and the main pedestrian street lined with cafes and restaurants. The people who frequent this hostel generally are young, outgoing and uber-friendly. I enthusiastically recommend this hostel to any one interested in meeting people and sampling the local culture.
Unique Quality: In terms of location it doesn't get any better than this.
Several museums, good restaurants and warm pubs which line the pedestrian street are all within walking distance. The fortress is at the end of the pedestrian street and the National Art museum is out the door... literally.
