Hi!

In any case you have to reach Nis or Belgrade first.
There you have buses to Krusevac.

There is no direct departures for Krusevac from Sofia neither from Zadar.

If you need anything else, just ask.

Vidovdan's the most important Christian festival for the town of Kruševac. Every year on 28 June, a commemorative service is held in the church of Lazarica for the heroes who died in the Kosovo battle and for all other Serbian warriors killed in liberation wars.

Naupare

Some 13km from Kruševac there's this lovely village of Naupare, a sort of open-air museum with typical Serbian old houses.

Every June children from our country and abroad come here to take part in the Art Colony 'Biberce.'

Manastir Naupare

13km from Kruševac, on the right bank of the Rasina River, in the really exceptional surroundings, there's yet another Prince Lazar's endowment, Manastir Naupare (the Naupare Convent). That's why the building's similar to the Lazarica Church, but built only a little earlier. It was reconstructed several times.

It used to be a monastery (until 1950), but now it's a convent.

Lazar's Town

Kruševac, a town of rich tradition and several centuries long history, is situated in the central part of Serbia.
King Lazar started building it around 1374.
There are 2 legends concerning the name of the town. According to one, it was named after the many pear trees ('kruška'), that were abundant in these regions. According to the other, the name came from the kind of stone called 'krušac', which was taken out of the river and used for the building of the medieval town.

Krusevac is beautiful town. It is located in Central Serbia and it is a centar of Rasina region (270.000 inhabitants).
We have here reamins of old mideavel town Krusevac, Church Lazarica from 14th century, monument of Kosovo heros (Grand Prix in Paris in 1904) at the center of town...
There are two memorial parks in Krusevac - Slobodiste, Kosturnice.
Bagdala (Turkish name) is our hill - lovely hill with children park, beautiful old houses, wood....
This fountain on the pfoto is near the town center and in the back is Monument of heros died in 1st World War

"Prince Lazar and history of Krusevac"

Krusevac was founded by Prince Lazar as his capital. Officially, the year of foundation of Krusevac is 1371. Krusevac was the last resort place of medieval Serbian state from Asian hordes.
The town was cultural and economy center and hope of Serbia at that time. At that time, churches Lazarica (in Krusevac), Ravanica, Kalenic, Ljubostinja, Naupara, Manasija, Veluce and cities of Krusevac, Stalac, Koznik were risen.
By the legend, Krusevac was named by the river stone KRUSAC, which was the main material in construction of the town.
After the Kosovo battle (1389), Krusevac was the capital of vassal Serbia.
Krusevac was occupied by Turks in 1427 and enslaved in 1454. Krusevac than gets is new Turkish name Aladza Hisar (Motley Town)

"Jastrebac - our mountain"

Jastrebac is sylvan mountain, rich with plants (537 species of which 218 are balmy plant species). This mountain is very interesting for hiking and biking. There are four paths for mount-biking. There are several hotels, villas, camps on Jastrebac....And there are horses bearing wood in buffets (boxes) ....
