Hotel Vojvodina is the oldest hotel in Novi Sad. Although a bit rusty and more expensive than average, the nice and clean rooms, and its position make the hotel very good choice for stay in Novi Sad.
In the promotive leaflet there are a few data about the hotel history: "The building of present hotel Vojvodina was built in the year 1854, at the place of the Heil brewery. It was named Empress Elizabeth and between the two wars it was called Queen Maria when it had 75 rooms with warm and cold water. With its architecture, its compositional characteristics and decoration elements, it ranks among the most outstanding works of bourgeois architecture. The hotel has 61 rooms and 117 beds."

I stayed in both a two bed double and a single bed double. Both rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly.
The location makes this an excellent choice when staying in Novi Sad. Located in the town center, so it is close to shops, cafes, taxis, and busses.

It's a hotel in the very heart of the city, pure center, just around the corner from the cathedral.
It's quite cheap, not so luxurious, but what to expect from old communist hotels?
