An atmosphere evoking a romantic past
I liked this hotel very much - it is a romantic place, with a perfect location, situated in the park close to the lake, and among similarly beautiful old architecture of the Austro-Hungarian time and plenty of trees all around. Great place to relax, it is quiet and just a little off, are restaurants and some bars, and the usual families on an outing. There is a path going through the little forest behind the hotel to the road where you can catch the bus to Subotica.
The hotel itself is a nice old building, well-maintained, and very clean. Some of the furnishings look dated, still overall they fit the atmosphere of the place. The room was excellent, and was even more luxurious than I expected. It was obvious that the hotel tries to maintain the luxury atmosphere that lake Palic used to have in the old days, as the playground of the nobility during the empire. And it does succeed in still evoking it. The breakfast was good, too, although you got to be early as the food do not tend to be replenished. All in all, very good value for money.

Romantic hotel from Austro-Hungarian time
Hotel is in big park very close to the lake. The only sounds you can hear in the morning are bird?s songs. There are 120 rooms (including Hotel "Jezero", dependence of the hotel), tennis centre with a bar and pizzeria, excellent fish restaurant "Riblja Carda", international and domestic food restaurant "Mala Gostiona" (where they served breakfast). The hotel was built in 1857.
Unique Quality: Fitness Centre, sauna, solarium and thermal swimming pool. Hotel is in big park very close to the lake. You can rent a bicycle or horse.

A: "why would you take a taxi? besides its far too expensive. just take the train from the keleti station and get off in subotica. there are also buses going."
