Hotel "Mona": Days of wellness, joy, relax, excellent service

Hotel "Mona" is really beautiful! The prices might not be the lowest possible, but I think that the money spent for the stay in that hotel is very well worth it. There is a very good spa- (wellness-) center, the rooms are nice and very clean and the service in general is very good. At least it was like that until about three years ago, but I suppose that it is nowadays also like that. And the food was excellent!

A great wellness- (spa-) center with a grat hydromassage!

Apartment in Mackat, 14 km from Zlatibor: Village Accommodation in South-Western Serbia

Let me give you a tip from a village called Mackat, 14 km from Zlatibor. This village is very prosperous, with six restaurants, some of them with menus in English. All basic products are home-made and you can buy cheese, salamis and the famous Serbian ham “prsuta” directly from local farmers. We have been guests of Mira and Rade Vasiljevic in summer 2008 and we were very satisfied. Our hosts were very kind. They rent an apartment that was clean, with no unnecessary luxury but well-equipped. Our breakfast (included in price) and all food provision was excellent. We went with kids and it was a unique experience as they could see life animals in the village. If you want to travel without kids, the January festival PRSUTIADA (regional products and music event) might be a great option for you, just book in advance. Mokra Gora (the village of E.Kusturica), Sarganska osmica, Ivo Andric’s Bridge over the Drina river or skansen Sirogojno are quite close. A great trip to real Serbia!

Location and hosts' care is unique!

Vila Bajka: Villa in Zlatibor

Nice villa made into a hotel by former basketball players. Price about 35euros/night, which was reasonable. Very clean and comofrtable. No breakfast or other food available at the hotel but many restaurants and stores close by. flat screen tv's in every room and you can rent DVDs for free from the reception. Recommended place to stay!

Palisad: The Famous Hotel

This is a 4-star-hotel complex with single-, double- and 3-bed rooms and luxurious suits. There's also a cocktail bar, TV room, restaurant, sweet shop and many boutiques.

The hotel, which is in the pleasant pine forest, isn't far from the lake.
Here you can play football, tennis, table tennis, billiard. There's also a swimming pool, sauna and fitness facilities.
