Good restaurant and that's it
There are two branded "Emma" hotels in Craiova. One is Emma Est, located on the main road of Craiova, close to the entry from Bucharest.
The hotel is linked to a petrol station and on the central road, so noisy, especially the tram makes a lot of noise. But you can ask for a room on the other side and those are more quieter.
On the downside the rooms are basic, kind of worn, and you can have a bad surprise if you don't smoke, because you can find a room that smells heavily of smoke, like I did. I had to change two rooms until I found one I was pleased with.
The good feature of this hotel is the restaurant. Decent and more, I ordered out of menu and they managed with no problem. As in Craiova there is a very poor choice of restaurants, this one is pretty good also if you don't stay here but you want a good lunch or dinner.
Staff is ok, responsive to guest demands.
